The Indoor Home Sauna

Unlike outdoor saunas, indoor saunas tend to be smaller and more often are custom-designed rooms that blend into a home space. With custom-built saunas, your design options are almost limitless. Architects and home designers are seeing more demand for saunas in new home construction as well. To keep costs down, you should consider a stock or pre-built sauna plan. These are typically free-standing units that can be easily located to a convenient location.

Regardless of size or design, many indoor home saunas share similar materials: cedar or other soft wood for the walls, floor and ceiling; glass door, two-level bench seating, temperature control and thermometer. With that said, there is still many choices and options available - see the links on the left for more information.
